Newmark Grubb Zimmer Capital Markets Team Sells Google Fiber Building in Downtown Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri — The Newmark Grubb Zimmer Capital Markets Team of Michael VanBuskirk, SIOR, CCIM, CRE and Chris Robertson successfully brokered the sale of a historic 32,624 square foot multi-tenant office building located at 908 Broadway Boulevard in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  Originally constructed in 1903, the 908 Broadway Building was completely renovated and includes two adjacent surface parking lots.  Google Fiber is the anchor tenant in over 23,000 square feet and Kansas City based ER Marketing also occupies a full floor.  Originally offered for sale at 87% occupancy, the seller also engaged the Newmark Grubb Zimmer Downtown Office Leasing Team of Joyce Murray and John Hoefer who were able to quickly increase occupancy to 100% through completion of a full floor lease to Coury Hospitality.

Utilizing an aggressive marketing strategy developed specifically for 908 Broadway, the Newmark Grubb Zimmer Capital Markets and Office Leasing Teams were able to quickly lease and sell the asset on behalf of a California based private investor group.  The buyer of the building is a Colorado based private investor expanding their holdings in the Kansas City area.
