Kansas City, MO - Newmark Grubb Zimmer (NGZ) has been selected to market a high-profile headquarters premium office site at Crown Center. The 2.67 acre site, owned by Hallmark Cards, Inc., is located at the southern end of the Crown Center complex between Main Street, Grand Boulevard and 27th Street. The site is immediately south of the existing 2600 Grand office building and park, and is ideally suited to become a headquarters location, offering amazing views of Downtown Kansas City, Liberty Memorial and Union Station. The site is master planned to be developed for a high-rise, Class A office building with up to 400,000 square feet of luxury office space. In addition, a parking structure under and adjacent to the building can hold up to 1,500 cars. The site is being offered for sale to an owner/user or developer, or Crown Center Redevelopment will consider building to suit for a client’s exact needs and specifications.
NGZ previously assisted Crown Center in the development of two office projects in the area, including the 240,000 square foot 2301 McGee building and the 595,000 square foot 2555 Grand building, occupied by the Shook, Hardy & Bacon law firm. NGZ also assisted the Federal Reserve in the site selection and development of their 940,000 square foot building located southwest of the site.
Crown Center is the hotel, office, entertainment and residential complex surrounding Hallmark's world headquarters at the southern edge of downtown Kansas City. The mixed-used development features more than 2.2 million square feet of office space that houses national and international firms, 300,000 square feet of retail, including Halls Kansas City luxury department store, as well as condominium and apartment living units and two world-class hotels; the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center and The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center.
